Drunk Driving – Over The Limit, Under Arrest (stats)

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- The Post Commander, Lisa Rudzinski of the Kentucky State Police Post 3, is reporting the following activity for the DRUNK DRIVING – OVER THE LIMIT, UNDER ARREST campaign that was held between August 20 through September 6, 2010.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,296 citations of which 475 were for speeding and 5 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 99 for no seatbelts. Twenty-seven were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 112 citations for no insurance, 38 citations were issued for operating on a suspended license and 21 citations were written for reckless driving. Three hundred forty two citations were issued for other traffic violations. One stolen vehicle was recovered, 67 felony arrests were made, 39 fugitives were apprehended and 70 drug arrests were made.
