Two Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on I-65

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- Both Robert A. Thomas & Stephen A. Hurst were traveling northbound on I-65 in Warren County near the 23 mile marker. Mr. Thomas was in the center lane. Mr. Hurst was in the right lane. Mr. Thomas was changing lanes from the center lane to the right lane and did not see Mr. Hurst next to him. Mr. Thomas impacted his passenger side, front right tire with the rear driver's side tire of Mr. Hurst causing Mr. Hurst to begin to rotate. Mr. Hurst traveled off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail, overturned, & came to final rest upright on the other side of the guardrail. Operator & passenger of Mr. Hurst's vehicle were extricated from the vehicle. The passenger (Janice Hurst ) of Mr. Hurst's vehicle was transported by EMS to the Medical Center at Bowling Green where she was admitted for treatment of injuries. Mr. Hurst was transported by Air Evac to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville where he is listed in critical but stable condition. Mr. Thomas sustained no injuries. Investigation continues.
