Hart County Drug Arrest

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- On Thursday, 5-27-2010, the Kentucky State Police received information of stolen property at a residence on Cub Run Highway in Hart County. Troopers Lonnie Hodges Timmy Jewell responded to the location and recovered a stolen 2005 Ford 500 dump bed truck and a 2008 Blizzard brush chipper. This investigation led to the information of additional stolen property located in Grayson County. Troopers Lonnie Hodges, Daniel White, and Dennis Oldham responded to this location and located a Bobcat trackhoe that was reported stolen as well. Following up on additional tips and obtained information through investigation, Troopers Daniel White and Lonnie Hodges responded to the summer residence of Charles E. West Sr. in the Wax community. After a search of the property, approximately 70 pounds of processed marijuana was located along with drug paraphernalia. In addition, a quantity of cash was seized along with a 2010 Ford F-150 Platinum edition pickup. Charles West was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, (>5 lbs.), 1st offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia, 1st offense. He was lodged in the Grayson County Jail. This case is being investigated by Tpr. White and is ongoing. The stolen property case is being investigated by Tpr. Hodges, and charges are still pending in that investigation as well.
