Butler County Murder Investigation

(Bowling Green, KY) -- Butler County Sheriff Department received a call of a possible shooting at the above location. Troopers from KSP Post 3 responded along with Butler County S.O. to the scene. Upon arrival, witnesses stated that Clifton Jones (suspect) had shot the victim and fled the scene. Troopers rapidly obtained information on Clifton Jones and a possible vehicle he was traveling in. Troopers in Hart County located the vehicle and initiated a felony traffic stop on I-65 at the Munfordville Exit. Further investigation revealed that the Operator of the vehicle was Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones was detained and through investigation, arrested on the charges of Murder & Multiple Traffic Related Charges and lodged in the Butler County Jail without incident. Investigation is ongoing. Further details are not being released at this time.
