Felony Drug Arrest in Christian County

Date of News Release: 12/28/2010

(Madisonville, Ky. ) -- On Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at approximately 1:21 p. m., Trooper First Class John Komar and Trooper First Class Mark Combs conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway at the 24 mile-marker. The vehicle was operated by Isaac O. McKenzie, age 30 of Owensboro, KY. During the traffic stop, a KSP canine alerted on the vehicle. A garbage bag containing approximately 3 pounds of marijuana was located in the vehicle. Mr. McKenzie was arrested without incident and charged with Rim or Frame Obscuring Lettering or Decal on Plate, No Insurance, and Trafficking Marijuana (8 oz. to < 5 lbs.) 1st Offense. He was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
