Felony Drug Arrests in Todd County

Date of News Release: 11/30/2010

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Thursday, November 30, 2010, at approximately 10:32 a.m., Trooper Derek Smith observed a vehicle traveling at a high-rate of speed on US 68 outside of Elkton. Trooper Smith conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Through his investigation, Trooper Smith discovered that the driver, Michael Monge, age 23 of Rockford, IL, and the passenger, MaryAnn Brown, age 21 of Rockford, IL, had in their possession illegal narcotics, including heroin, marijuana, and multiple kinds of prescription medication. Drug paraphernalia including, syringes, a smoking pipe, and a marijuana grinder was also located inside the vehicle. The subjects were arrested.

Michael Monge was charged with :

  1. Speeding 26 mph or greater
  2. Reckless Driving
  3. Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Heroin
  4. Possession of Marijuana
  5. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  6. Illegal Possession of Legend Drug

MaryAnn D. Brown charged with :

  1. Possession of Marijuana
  2. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  3. Illegal Possession of Legend Drug

Both were transported to the Todd County Detention Center where they were processed and lodged.
