Injury Collision on KY 278 in Caldwell County

Date of News Release: 11/12/2010

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Kenny Gardner, age 73 of Dawson Springs, KY, was operating a 2002 Ford, F-250 pickup truck westbound on KY 278 (Sandlick Road) when his vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Gardner overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. It traveled across both lanes of travel and exited off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled into a field where it overturned. Mr. Gardner, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. The vehicle came to rest upright in the field. Mr. Gardner was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN for treatment. Trooper Bob Winters is investigating the crash that occurred on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 9:18 a.m. The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, the Princeton Police Department, the Princeton Fire Department, Caldwell County EMS, and Air Evac assisted at the scene.
