Manufacturing Meth Investigation and Arrests

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- While on routine patrol on Gravel Pit Road, Kentucky State Police units smelled a chemical odor consistent with a meth lab. Units discovered the odor was coming from 521 Gravel Pit Road and observed a vehicle leaving this residence in a hurried manner. Upon conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle, several items of drug and drug paraphernalia where found inside the vehicle. Upon units arrival at the residence, a strong chemical odor was coming from inside. Due to exigent circumstances officers entered the residence. Upon entering the residence an active meth lab was found inside. A search warrant was obtained, however the owner of the residence showed up and gave consent to search.
Kevin S. Powell was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Meth, Rear License Plate Not Illuminated, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Meth), Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess and Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence Alc/Drugs 1st Offense.
Melissa J. Holmes was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Meth and Possession of Meth Precursor 1st Degree.
Jeremy J. Veach was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, 2nd Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Giving Police Officer False Name/Address, Manufacturing Meth and Resisting Arrest.
Corey Stone was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Meth and Execute Bench Warrant for Other Agency.
