Three Arrested on Felony Charges

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Trooper Knight was on routine patrol when he initiated a traffic stop on Mr. Stewart M. Turley's vehicle for a violation. Trooper Knight approached the vehicle and observed a box in the front passenger side seat. Mr. Turley then reached for the box and Trooper Knight removed the box and Mr. Turley from the vehicle for officer safety. The box was opened and suspected marijuana was located in the box.

Trooper Knight placed Mr. Turley under arrest and removed the 2 passengers from the vehicle. Trooper Knight located suspected Methamphetamine, Oxaprozin, cash and 2 firearms during the search of the vehicle. All the subjects were arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.

Turley was charged with Rear License Not Illuminated, Possession Marijuana–Firearm Enhanced, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced(Methamphetamine), Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced (Drug Unspecified),Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Phillip W. Cameron was charged with Possession Marijuana–Firearm Enhanced, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced(Methamphetamine), Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced (Drug Unspecified),Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Clark was charged with Possession Marijuana–Firearm Enhanced, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced(Methamphetamine), Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced (Drug Unspecified),Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense–Firearm Enhanced, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.
