Injury Crash on KY 112 in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 05/30/2010

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Billy Waynick's vehicle was northbound on KY112 when he lost control of the vehicle while attempting to make a left turn onto Martin Loop. The vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree. Mr. Waynick fled from the accident scene and was later apprehended by Dawson Springs Police Department. The two passengers remained in the vehicle and were uninjured. Stacey Morris was arrested at the scene by Trooper Winters on a Failure to Appear warrant out of Caldwell County. The driver was transported to Regional Medical Center and after being cleared was transported to the Hopkins County Jail by the Dawson Springs Police Department. The Dawson Springs Police Department will have additional charges stemming from an incident that occurred in Dawson Springs just a few minutes earlier.
