Post 2 Drug Arrest

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at approximately 0033 hours, Trooper Smith stopped a vehicle on Mandarin Drive, in Oak Grove, KY, for traffic violations. Through investigation, Mr. Christopher L. James was determined to be under the influence of controlled substances. While Mr. James was outside of his vehicle, he fled from police on foot towards the apartment complexes where he lived on Mandarin Drive. He then locked himself inside his apartment where Ms. Cintya E. Robles and their 6 week old child were staying. He was apprehended approximately 20 minutes later and arrested without incident.

Through investigation at the residence, multiple items of illegal drugs were located including Marijuana, Controlled Substances, and items used in Trafficking Marijuana. A loaded shotgun was also located with the illegal narcotics. Ms. Robles and Mr. James were arrested and transported to the Christian County Detention Center where they were processed and lodged. The mother provided a care taker for the child.

Christopher L. James was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree On Foot, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Trafficking In Marijuana Less Than 8 oz 1st Offense Firearm Enhanced, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree 1st Offense, Prescription Controlled Substance Not In Proper Container 1st Offense, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence 1st Offense, Careless Driving, Failure to Change Address, and Failure to Illuminate Head Lamps.

Cintya E. Robles was charged with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension 2nd Degree, Tampering With Physical Evidence, and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
