Felony Drug Arrest in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 03/18/2010

(Madisonville, Ky) -- On Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Trooper Brandon McPherson and Trooper Jerry Knight were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint on Cleaton Road when James M. Tutt, age 27 of Greenville, KY, drove up to their location. During the course of Trooper McPherson's investigation, he located 3 small, bags of suspected, crystal methamphetamine in Mr. Tutt's pocket. Mr. Tutt was arrested without incident and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree1st Offense-Meth (D Felony) & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd or Greater Offense (D Felony). He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
