Cruelty to Animals Investigation

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Thursday, March 11, 2010, at approximately 1:04 p.m., KSP Sergeant Duane Snyder arrived at the Webster County Dog Pound in reference to a complaint of animal neglect at the shelter. Trooper First Class John Komar arrived later to assist with the investigation. The officers discovered that the food, water, and shelter being provided for the dogs was inadequate. John H. Dunn, age 50 of Dixon, KY, the warden at the Webster County Dog Pound, was cited to court for the offense of Cruelty to Animals 2nd Degree, a class A misdemeanor. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police.
