One Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on US 60

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Joseph Little, age 31 of Marion, KY, was operating a 2005 Dodge Neon eastbound on US 60. Anthony Staup, age 53 of Marion, KY, was operating a 1992 Freightliner tractor-trailer westbound on US 60. Upon entering a curve, Mr. Little's vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the tractor-trailer. Mr. Little's vehicle exited off the right side of the roadway and traveled down an earth embankment where it came to rest upright facing west. The tractor-trailer came to rest upright off the left side of the roadway facing south. Mr. Little was transported by ambulance to the Crittenden County Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt. He was cited to court for the following offenses:

  1. DUI 1st Offense
  2. 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree 1st Offense
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense
  4. Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle

Mr. Staup was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Trooper First Class Darron Holliman investigated the crash that occurred on February 24, 2010 at approximately 3:53 p.m. Crittenden County EMS assisted at the scene.
