Child Pornography Arrest in Hopkins County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Thursday, February 25, 2010 at approximately 2:30 p.m., detectives and troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville executed a search warrant at a residence on Wells Road in Nortonville in reference to a child pornography complaint. KSP Detective Dan Morck had received a complaint on February 24, 2010 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that the suspect had emailed pornographic images of children. The suspect had since moved from Nortonville to Mortons Gap. Officers located the suspect and transported him to Post 2. Detective Morck arrested the suspect, Benjamin R. Brown, age 27 of Mortons Gap, and charged him with 2 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance By Minor (D Felony) and 2 counts of Distribution of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance By Minor 1st Offense (D Felony). Mr. Brown was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center
