Felony Drug Arrest in Christian County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- A Trigg County Deputy responded to Rips Tavern in reference to locating a suspect in a terroristic threatening case in Trigg County. The deputy located his suspect in a vehicle parked in the back parking lot. Trooper Jay Cottrell was dispatched to the scene to assist the deputy. Officers located a small baggie of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both subjects were intoxicated and had open alcoholic beverages in the vehicle. Trooper Cottrell arrested Bryan S. Rogers, age 36 of Cadiz, KY, and James D. Oliver, age 35 of Cadiz, KY. Both men were charged with:
Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Cocaine
Possession of Open Alcohol Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense
Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place 1st Offense
They were lodged in the Christian County Jail. The Trigg County Sheriff's Department and the Christian County Sheriff's Department assisted.
