Felony Arrest in Christian County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at approximately 1:54 p.m., troopers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 24 near the 88 mile marker. Through their investigation, Rodney Ware, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. Marijuana was also discovered after troopers observed Mr. Ware tampering with a bag of it in an attempt to conceal it. Trooper Derek Smith arrested Rodney Ware and lodged him in the Christian County Detention Center. Mr. Ware was charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Possession of Marijuana (Firearm Enhanced), and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
