Manufacturing Meth Investigation and Arrest

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Trooper Brandon McPherson was investigating an anonymous tip that workers at the JMJ Trucking Garage were manufacturing methamphetamine when he smelled a strong chemical odor. Trooper McPherson and other officers made contact with the occupants inside. Upon further investigation, they located items used to manufacture methamphetamine, a methamphetamine lab as well as methamphetamine.

James A. Thomas, age 40 of Morganfield, Ky. was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd or > Offense, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree (2nd or > Offense) (Methamphetamine), Possession Drug Paraphernalia 2nd or > Offense, Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia Other Than Approved Container with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense.

Gregory D. Onan, age 56 of Slaughters, Ky. was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree (1st Offense) (Methamphetamine), Possession Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense, Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia Other Than Approved Container with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense.

Billy G. Langston Jr., age 30 of Providence, Ky. was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree (2nd or > Offense) (Methamphetamine), Possession Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense, Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia Other Than Approved Container with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense.

All of the above subjects were lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
