KSP Post 1 Trooper Honored at Awards Ceremony

(Lexington, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, December 1st, the Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards Ceremony was held at the Embassy Suites in Lexington. Law enforcement officers, agencies, and individuals from across the state were recognized for their outstanding achievements.

A Post 1 Trooper received an award for his achievements in impaired driving enforcement. Trooper Jason Clark was recognized as being the trooper with the highest number of DUI arrests for the 11 county Post 1 district. For the time period of October 1st, 2009 through September 30th, 2010, Trooper Clark arrested 49 impaired drivers. This represents 12 percent of the 407 DUI arrests that troopers in Post 1 made during the same time period. This award marks the third consecutive year Trooper Clark has received this particular award. Trooper Clark began his career with Kentucky State Police in 2007 and is assigned to Ballard and Carlisle Counties.
