KSP Sergeant Graduate from FBI National Academy

Sergeant Sam Steger(Hickory, Ky.) -- A Sergeant with the Kentucky State Police in Mayfield recently completed a course of study at the prestigious FBI National Academy. Sergeant Sam Steger of Murray, formerly of Hopkinsville, recently graduated from the 242nd session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va.

Two hundred seventy- two law enforcement officers graduated this session. The 242nd session was represented by men and women from 49 states, the District of Columbia, 26 international countries, five military organizations and 4 federal civilian organizations.

Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers 10 weeks of advanced investigative, management and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies.

Sgt. Steger is a 16 year veteran of law enforcement serving 3 years with the Murray Police Department and 13 years with the Kentucky State Police. He currently serves as the Detective Sergeant for Post 1 Mayfield.
