Brentwood TN resident arrested for arson

James Donald Elliott(Murray, Ky.) -- After a seventeen month investigation, a Brentwood, TN resident was charged in connection with two mobile home fires in Calloway County that occurred in May 2009. James Donald Elliott, 57, of Brentwood, TN was extradited back to the Commonwealth of Kentucky and formally charged with two counts of Complicity to Commit Arson 2nd degree, three counts of Fraudulent Insurance Acts over $500, and Use of a Weapon of Mass Destruction 3rd degree. The charges stem from two May 2009 structure fires in Calloway County and an incident where Mr. Elliott attempted to make a home-made bomb. Elliott was lodged in the Calloway County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond. Trooper Jay Thomas and Arson Investigator Frank Gresham with the Kentucky State Police is continuing the investigation.
