Felony arrest after a vehicle pursuit

(Mayfield, Ky.) -- Trooper Jonathan Paull received a call from Trigg County Emergency Operations Center in reference to a vehicle pursuit conducted by the Trigg County Sheriffs Department. While en route to assist in the pursuit he was advised that the pursuit had terminated on Will Jackson Road just past Gentry Gray Road in Trigg County. Upon arrival, Trigg County Sheriff's Deputies had already placed Jamiston R. Stewart, 19 years old, under arrested for various charges. Trooper Paull was advised that Mr. Stewart had used his car as a weapon, intentionally colliding with a deputy's car, in an attempt to elude. At this time, Trooper Paull charged Mr. Stewart with Assault 1st on a Police Officer, and Criminal Mischief 1st degree. Mr. Stewart was lodged in the Christian County Jail. Trooper Paull was assisted on the scene by Trigg County Sheriff's Department and the Cadiz Police Department.
