Ohio County Murder Investigation
Date of News Release:11/24/2010
(Henderson, Ky.) -- On Monday, November 22, 2010, the Kentucky State Police in Henderson received a complaint that Donna Gaines has been telling people that she had killed her boyfriend, Gregory Keith Sigler of Cromwell. Trooper Butch Garst made contact with Ms. Gaines and interviewed her about the received complaint. It was revealed that Ms. Gaines, a Bowling Green resident, had been signing and cashing Mr. Sigler's monthly checks. Investigators later determined that Ms. Gaines killed Mr. Sigler at her residence in Cromwell and burned his body. Troopers located trace bone fragments that could possibly be human remains in the fire pit located on the Ms. Gaines property. A riffle was also recovered, which may have been the weapon used to kill Mr. Sigler.
Mr. Sigler's family has been notified of the latest investigation.
Ms. Gaines has been lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center in Hartford, KY.
