Cultivation of marijuana and assault 2nd

(Henderson, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police received a complaint of an active domestic. Upon arrival officers contacted the victim who had sustained injuries requiring medical treatment. Further investigation revealed 28 marijuana plants growing behind Jackie D. Smith's residence. Smith was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree Domestic Violence – Serious Physical Injury and Cultivation of Marijuana greater than 5 plants.
