Injury collision on Croakes Station Road

Date of News Release: 12/29/2010

(Washington County, Ky.) -- Trooper Fred Cornett is investigating a collision that occurred 12/28/10 at approximately 11:55 p.m., 6 miles West of Springfield on Croakes Station Road. The collision occurred when a 2000 Jeep, operated by Oscar Acuna-Ortiz, age 25, of Bardstown, was traveling Eastbound on US150 and made a left turn onto Croakes Station Road. Acuna-Ortiz lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail. Acuna-Ortiz and 2 passengers, 33 year old Billy Rayburn and 32 year old Jessica Rayburn, both of Springfield, were all belted at the time of the collision. All subjects were transported to Spring View Hospital where they were treated and released. Trooper Cornett was assisted at the scene by Washington County EMS.
