Injury Collision in Washington County

Date of News Release: 08/17/2010

(Washington County, Ky.) -- Trooper John Adams is investigating a collision that occurred near the Washington/Nelson County line on Mt. Zion Road at approximately 7:09 p.m. The collision occurred when a 1999 GMC, operated by Michael Boblett, age 59, of Springfield, not belted, was traveling southbound on Mt. Zion Rd when they lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree. A passenger in the vehicle, Gerald Settles, age 41, of Edmonton, was not belted and was transported by Washington County EMS to Spring View Hospital for his injuries. Boblett was later treated and released at Flaget Hospital in Bardstown. Trooper Adams was assisted at the scene by Washington County EMS, the Washington County Fire Department, Willisburg Fire Department and the Mackville Fire Department.
