Four Injured in a DUI Vehicle Collision on Ky 70

(Casey County, Ky.) -- Trooper Bryan Shepard is investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred Saturday evening @ 7:05pm five miles West of Liberty on Ky 70.

Rogelio Roman, age 46 of Lexington was traveling East on KY 70 in a 2001 Chevrolet Avalanche when he ran off the roadway, overcorrected and overturned, ejecting all occupants. Roman was not wearing a seatbelt, he was airlifted to the UK Medical Center. Three passengers in the vehicle: Brittany Smallwood, age 18 of Liberty; Jon Scott, age 21 of Liberty; and Ronnie Smith, age 21 of Liberty were admitted to the Casey County Hospital. None of the passengers were wearing a seatbelt. Speed and alcohol were a contributing factor to the collision. Roman was cited to court for DUI.

Trooper Shepard was assisted at the scene by the Casey County Sheriff's Department, Casey County EMS, Liberty and Clementsville Fire Departments.
