Drug Arrest in Russell Springs, KY

(Columbia, Ky.) -- On Sunday January 24, 2010, Trooper Martin Wesley responded to 157 J.S. Wilson Road in Russell Springs, KY to assist the Russell County Sheriff's Department with a domestic complaint. During the course of the investigation, Trooper Wesley obtained information that led to the execution of a search warrant. Trooper Wesley and K-9 Klaus recovered large amounts of marijuana and suspected cocaine.

Hunter Tarter, 20, of 157 J.S. Wilson Road in Russell Springs was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana over 8 ounces/less than 5 lbs and Drug Paraphernalia/Use/Possession 1st. He was lodged in the Russell County Jail. Additional charges will be presented to the Russell County Grand Jury.

Assisting Trooper Wesley were Deputies Tim Pierce and Jeremy England.
