Burglary Arrest

John Fugitt Jr

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a Louisa resident on burglary charges stemming from an investigation from early September 2010. John Fugitt Jr. age 21, of Louisa, Ky was served with an indictment warrant for Burglary 1st Degree, a Class B felony, while lodged at the Big Sandy Detention Center. Fugitt was arrested on 9-9-2010 for the burglary and was later indicted after the case was presented to the Lawrence County grand jury. The indictment warrant was served by the case officer- Trooper Craig Morella.

Fugitt was charged for breaking into the residence of Tony Smith of KY 1760 in Louisa and stealing numerous firearms. All firearms were recovered and returned to the owner.

The Lawrence County Sheriff is assisting in the investigation. The case is being investigated by Trooper Craig Morella.
