Wanted Fugitive in Boyd County

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland is seeking the public's assistance in locating a wanted fugitive from the Ashland area. Thirty seven year old Marvin Sean Hogsten of Sherwood Drive, Ashland is wanted by the Kentucky State Police on the charge of Receiving Stolen Property o/10,000 dollars-Auto (a class C felony). This stems from a four month investigation into Hogsten being in possession of stolen property. The automobile, a 2006 Jeep Rubicon was originally reported stolen by Kentucky Automotive group from Grayson, KY. The vehicle had been entered as stolen into the National Crimes Information Computer (NCIC) by the Grayson Police Department in December 2009 and was located by SGT Pelphrey of the KSP on 4-8-10 around 3:30 pm at Hogsten's family member's residence on Gallaher Street in Ashland. A search warrant was obtained and the vehicle was subsequently seized by the KSP.
Mr. Hogsten is not considered armed or dangerous but the Kentucky State Police is asking the public if they have any information relating to this case or the location of Hogsten to call the Kentucky State Police at 606-928-6421. Callers may remain anonymous.
