ATV Collision Claims Life of Breathitt County Man

(Hazard, Ky.) -- A 33 year old Breathitt County man has died from injuries received in a single vehicle ATV collision. On May 28th, 2010 at approximately 9:38 P.M. Charles White of the Caney Community of Breathitt County was operating an ATV along McIntosh Road when he lost control of the ATV leaving the roadway striking an embankment. No helmet was in use at the time of the collision. The operator of the ATV was transported to the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital and was later airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he died and was pronounced deceased by the Fayette County Coroner's Office on Saturday May 29th. Trooper Jason Gabbard is in charge of the investigation.
