Two Men Arrested After Shelby County Pursuit

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 4:24 PM, Trooper Mark Treadway attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle with a cracked windshield and no rear view mirror on Scott Station Road. The Trooper initiated his emergency equipment and the vehicle pulled into a driveway on Scott Station Road. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit began. The eluding vehicle continued through a wooden three plank fence in the rear of a residence. The vehicle ran through a total of three separate fences disabling the vehicle. The vehicle driver and passenger fled on foot into a wooded area. Both subjects were located and arrested without further incident.
The driver David C. Franklin, age 29, of Shelbyville, KY has been charged with DUI 2nd, Operating on a Suspended License, No Rear View Minor, Excessive Window Tint, Reckless Driving, Obstructive View, Expired Registration, Fleeing and Evading 1st (in vehicle), Fleeing Evading 2nd (on foot), No Insurance, Wanton Endangerment 1st, and Criminal Mischief 1st. The passenger, Joshua Franklin, age 32, of Shelbyville, KY has been charged with Alcohol Intoxication and Fleeing and Evading 2nd (on foot). Both subjects were lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.
