Update to the Stabbing Investigation in Scott County

Date of News Release: 10/27/2010

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Tuesday, October 26, 2010 Kentucky State Police charged Rogelio Lopez Purata, age 39 of Lexington KY, after several victims were stabbed during a domestic dispute. On Wednesday afternoon, October 27, 2010, Purata was released from the University of Kentucky Medical Center and taken to the Scott Co Detention Center. He has been charged with Assault 1st (3 counts) and Burglary 1st.

On October 22, 2010 the Scott County Sheriff's Office received a call of a stabbing on Reno Drive (Ponderosa Trailer Park) and requested the Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post to assist.

Four subjects including the suspect were found with stab wounds and were transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

As of October 27, 2010 Michelle Rayes, age 39 of Georgetown, KY., remains in the hospital, Jeb Boyer, age 35 and Martin Calixto, age 36 both of Georgetown, KY, have been released from the hospital. The investigation is continuing.

The Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post provides police coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford counties.
