Scott County Sheriff's Office Recovers Over 20,000 in Stolen Property Kentucky State Police Take Down Meth Lab

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- Kentucky State Police assisted Scott County Sheriff's Office in recovering over 20,000 in stolen property and take down a meth lab. It all started on Monday, October 18, 2010 around 7:30 AM when Deputy Mike Caudill of the Scott County Sheriff's Office was contacted by a victim who had located his stolen property at a pawn shop. Deputy Caudill recovered the stolen property and further investigation led him to recover several other items that were reported stolen from other burglaries. Deputy Caudill was able to make two arrests.

The investigation continued to grow and Deputy Caudill got a search warrant for a residence located on Burgess Smith Road in Sadieville, KY. Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post were called to assist the Sheriff's Office in recovering more stolen property and executing the search warrant. The investigation had also revealed that there was a meth lab located at the same location.

At 3:30 PM Scott County Sheriff's Office and the Kentucky State Police executed the search warrant on Burgess Smith Road. Thousands of dollars in stolen property was located at the residence. Most of the recovered stolen property is believed to have come from several Scott County burglaries over the last two weeks. Some items recovered may have come from some Harrison County burglaries. The Scott County Sheriff's Office will be working to identify victims so that the stolen property can be return.

Post 12 Kentucky State Police Clandestine Lab response team was called to the scene to dismantle the meth lab.

The following suspects have been arrested and lodged the Scott County Detention Center.

Don A. Adams Jr, age 27, Georgetown, KY, charged with Receiving Stolen Property (2 counts)

Joshua Phillips, age 21, Georgetown, KY, charged with Receiving Stolen Property (2 counts)

Daniel W. Beach age 46, Sadieville, KY, charged with Receiving Stolen Property (1 counts), Receiving Stolen Property (1 counts) firearm

Rita House, age 31, Sadieville, KY, charged with Receiving Stolen Property (1 counts), Receiving Stolen Property (1 counts) firearm

Arrested By Kentucky State Police:

Randall Hicks, age 38 of New Albany KY, charged with Fleeing and evading, Possession of controlled substance (Meth) 3 counts, Possession Drug Paraphernalia (10 counts) and Tampering with Physical Evidence

The investigation is continuing and more Drug and criminal charges are pending.
