Kentucky State Police and Scott County Sheriff Department Eradicate over 600 Marijuana Plants in Scott County

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Monday, August 16, 2010 the Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post and the Scott County Sheriffs Department teamed up to eradicate marijuana in Scott County. Through a collaborative effort over 600 marijuana plants were eradicated. The street value of those plants would be in excess of $1,200,000. No arrests were made but the investigations are on going.

"The Kentucky State Police and the Scott County Sheriffs Department are dedicated to keeping Scott County a safe and drug free community", stated KSP's Captain Mike Crawford. Sherriff Bobby Hammons echoed those sentiments stating, "Through teamwork we were able to keep a significant amount of marijuana from making it to the streets and possible in the hands of our children in Scott County". This partnership continues and the eradication effort is ongoing.
