Blackburn Escapee Arrested

Russell Curtis Image(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Saturday morning, August 7, 2010 Blackburn escapee Russell Curtis was arrested in Scott County. The Scott County Sheriff's Department and the Georgetown Police Department captured the escapee after a foot pursuit in Georgetown, KY. He was lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort is investigating the escape of a Blackburn Correctional Complex inmate. On Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at approx., 11:07 PM, Russell L. Curtis escaped. On the night of the inmate escapee a search in the Kearney Road area in northern Fayette County was conducted and Mr. Curtis was not located. On Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 4:30 PM Law enforcement agencies conducted another search for Mr. Curtis after receiving information that he was scene in the Roger Gap Road area in Northern Scott County. Mr. Curtis was not located.
