Death Investigation in Laurel County

(London, Ky.) -- On Saturday August 07, 2010 at 5:00 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, London received a report of a tractor accident just off of Strunk Road in southern Laurel County.
Upon arrival Trooper Lloyd Cochran learned that Charles Ennix, property owner, had returned home on Strunk Road and heard the sound of a tractor running on his property.
Mr. Ennix went to investigate the sound and discovered that John L. White, 40, of Corbin had been bush hogging a field when the tractor he was operating overturned, pinning him underneath.
Mr. White was utilizing Mr. Ennix's property for some livestock.
Mr. White was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner.
No drug or alcohol usage is suspected.
Trooper Cochran is continuing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County and the Laurel County Coroner's Office.
