Residential Fire with Fatality in the Oneida Community

(London, Ky.) -- On Sunday, March 07, 2010, at approximately 2:32 AM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London received a report, from the Clay County 911 center, of a residential fire with fatality in the Oneida community of Clay County.

KSP Detective Donald Wilson and KSP Arson Investigator Brian Lewis responded to the scene and are currently investigating the incident.

The victim's identity is not known at this time pending positive identification by the state medical examiner's office.

No foul play is suspected, at this time, in the origin of the fire.

Further updates will be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.

Assisting at the scene is the Clay County Coroner's Office, the Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Office, the Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Oneida Fire Department.
