One Killed in a Single Vehicle Collision on KY 11

(London, Ky.) -- On Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 7:53 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash, on KY 11, 8 miles south of Manchester.
Upon arrival KSP Trooper Jeff Senters determined that a black, 2006, Dodge, Stratus, operated by Bobby J. Crockett, 56, of Manchester, was northbound on KY 11 when it left the roadway, traveled down an embankment and overturned onto its side in a creek.
Mr. Crockett, who was not wearing a seatbelt and was the only occupant, was ejected from the vehicle and received fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Clay County Coroner Jim Trosper.
Alcohol and/or drug usage is NOT suspected.
Trooper Senters is continuing the investigation and was assisted, at the scene, by KSP Trooper Delzie Kelly, CVE Sergeant Brian Jackson, the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the Clay County Coroner's Office, the Clay County EMS, the Lockards Creek Fire Department and the Horse Creek Fire Department.
