KSP Post 9 Troopers Honored

Two troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville received awards in Frankfort on May 20. Tpr. William E. Petry (right) received the KSP Citation for Meritorious Service with V Device for Valor and Det. Benjamin Cramer (left) was named Post 9 Trooper of the Year. A native of Martin and resident of Prestonsburg, Petry is a four-year KSP veteran and a 1979 graduate of Allen Central High School. He is the son of the late William "Bosh" Petry and the late Willie D. Petry of Floyd County. A native of Paintsville and resident of Louisa, Cramer is a seven-year KSP veteran. He graduated from Paintsville High School in 1996 and Prestonsburg Community College in 1999. He is the son of Frances Castle of Louisa and Walter Cramer of Lexington.
