Death Investigation in Johnson County

(Boones Camp, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 09 Pikeville 911 Dispatch received a report of a vehicle fire on KY. RT. 2040 in the Offutt Community of Boones Camp, KY. The Williamsport Fire Department was dispatched to extinguish the fire. The firefighters discovered human remains in the burned out automobile. Detective B. J. Caudill, Arson Detective Don Parker and Trp. Eddie Crum are investigating along with Johnson County Coroner J.R. Frisby. The remains have been sent to the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office for identification and to determine the cause of death.
