Pike County Jail Escapee Arrested In Dickenson County Hospital

Date of News Release: 05/17/2009

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- Billy Roark, 26, year old male inmate that escaped while on work release from the Pike County Detention Center was arrested tonight in the Dickenson County Community Hospital by Dickenson County Sheriff's Office Deputies. Mr. Roark is lodged in the Dickenson County Detention Center. Kentucky State Police Trp. Kevin Thacker is investigating the escape and obtained arrest warrants for escape 2nd degree yesterday.

The case is still under investigation pending extradition from Virginia.
