Shooting Investigation in Floyd County

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- Post 9 received a 911 call that two men had been shot at a residence on Daniels Creek in Floyd County. Two male subjects had been in an ongoing dispute according to witnesses at the scene. During the altercation both subjects were shot. The shooting is under investigation by Detective Gary Sykes. Detective Sykes was assisted at the scene by Troopers Isaac Whitaker, William Petry, Tony Tackett, Tony Russell, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and Floyd County Sheriffs Department.
