Armed Robbery Investigation in Floyd County

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- Male subject armed with a handgun entered Boyd's Grocery Store demanding money from the clerk. White male subject 5'10" 170 lbs wearing a blue jersey trimmed in white, black mask over his face, and wearing something similar to latex gloves. Male subject left the scene on foot with approximately $1,023.66. The robbery is still under investigation by Trooper Tony Russell Unit 524. Trooper Russell was assisted at the scene by Floyd County Sheriff's Department and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
