Death Investigation in Floyd County

(Pikeville, Ky.) - On 03-04-2009 10:50 a.m. in the morning the body of Jason Tackett was found by his uncle in the creek running near Morgue Branch at Teaberry, KY. Mr. Tackett was reported missing to Kentucky State Police Tony Tackett on 03-03-2009 by his family and was entered into the nationwide computer as missing. Mr. Tackett was last seen on or about Tuesday morning around 5:30 a.m. The exact cause of death has not been determined at this time; it is pending autopsy by the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office. The case is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police Detective B.J. Caudill and Floyd County Deputy Coroner Chuck Hall.
