Triple Fatal Collision on US 460 in Johnson County

(Pikeville, KY) - A semi truck trailer driven by Ricky Brown was traveling eastbound on U.S. 460 in Johnson County this morning approximately 8:00 A.M. when it collided with a pickup truck owned by Valerie Rodriguez of Oil Springs, KY. Three occupants in the pickup truck were pronounced dead on scene by Johnson County Deputy Coroner Harry Frisby. The names of those deceased have not been released at this time pending positive identification of the bodies. The collision occurred in the westbound land of U.S. 460. The semi truck trailer is owned by East Kentucky Bottling of Staffordsville, KY. The cause of the collision is still under investigation by Trooper Eddie Crum of the Kentucky State Police.
