Date of News Release: 11/14/2009

(Morehead, Ky.) -- A 2004 Ford pickup driven by Johnny Blevins of Grayson was traveling westbound on Interstate 64 at the 145 mile marker. Mr. Blevins swerved into the passing lane and struck a 2005 Dodge Neon driven by Charles Ison of Grayson Ky. The truck driven by Mr. Blevins was pulling a stock trailer when the vehicle driven by Mr. Ison struck the truck, causing both vehicles to overturn. The truck and trailer overturned into the median, ejecting Mr. Blevins and his passenger Devin Campbell, 21, of Lexington. The Neon came to final rest in the median on the driver side, partially on top of Mr. Campbell. Charles Ison was taken to St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead Ky, and then airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Both Mr. Blevins and Mr. Campbell were pronounced deceased at the scene by Rowan County Coroner John Northcutt. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper First Class Joe Veeneman U/626.
