Arson Investigation and Arrest in Fleming County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- An investigation by the Kentucky State Police and the Fleming County Sheriff's Department led to the arrest of a Hillsboro Volunteer Firefighter, Chris Royse for 2 counts of Arson 2ND Degree.

On September 17th 2009 and on October 19th 2009 Chris Royse intentionally set fires at mobile homes located on Watson Road in the Hillsboro Community of Fleming County.

Detective Shane Barnes (KSP) arrested Mr. Royse on October 23, 2009 at the Fleming County Sheriff's Department. Mr. Royse was lodged in the Mason County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
