Death Investigation at the Rowan County Detention Center

Date of News Release: 08/08/2009

(Morehead, Ky.) -- Tina Watkins age 27, of Salt Lick Ky., was found deceased at the Rowan County Detention Center in her holding cell around 5:10 am. Ms. Watkins was incarcerated for a driving under the influence and was taken into custody by Morehead Police Department. An autopsy is scheduled for today (08/08/2009) at the State Medical Examiners Office. No foul play is suspected at this time. The incident remains under investigation by Detective Larry Bowling, Kentucky State Police Morehead.
