(Richmond, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, is currently investigating several thefts and burglaries which have occurred in Battlefield Estates between August 5th-8th. Unknown suspect(s) are entering unlocked vehicles and stealing various contents. In one case the suspect(s) used a garage door opener found inside a vehicle to open the door. Once the garage door was opened, they entered the home through an unlocked door which led to and from the garage. The Kentucky State Police reminds citizens to keep their vehicles locked if they are parked outside the residence and to secure all internal doors which led to and from the garage and into living spaces. If you have any information regarding these thefts, please contact the Kentucky State Police Post 7 at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state) or (859) 623-2404.
